Insight on Cold Air Intake

Hello all...I wasn't sure which forum to place this in, so I decided to just come here...

Anyway, I would like to know more about Cold Air Intakes, and if anyone has them on their vehicles, and how its turned out (Sound, performance, mileage ->> EVERYTHING thats changed since install )

From what I have been reading, I should expect a slight increase in horsepower, better mileage, and a better sound?

Would anyone recommend going with this type of upgrade? How much does it cost? Whats a good brand to go with? Is it a big job (Long hours to install, or high labour cost?) etc etc any info about the whole thing is appreciated.

It's an easy install you could do in your driveway in 30mins. They cost anywhere from $300 up. Most have decent results. Tuning your car helps but might void warranty.
Here's a thread comparing some new ones ( not done yet)

This is the first test that was done.

Cold Air Inductions is a great intake, easy to install, looks great, and according to Jannety Racing offers some of the best gains.

Here's their comparison thread, here's their comparison breakdown.

CAI's CAI in black

*Edit, looks like someone already posted pretty much what I said above, damn quick typers, lol
