Blind Spot

I have had my 2010 Camaro for about 2 weeks now and am having a problem with the blind spots when changing lanes or anything else. What can be done to help out with this? I'm sure not the only one noticing this.

From reading other threads people got used to the blind spots after a few hours of driving. I hear a lot of people complaining about the blind spots, but get used to them real fast.

Take some time to adjust your mirrors properly. Once you see the headlights in the right side or rear view, just punch it and merge!

You'll probably get used to it over time, I know I did. I've learned to heavily rely on the use my mirrors.

I exaggerate the side-view mirrors. My side-view mirrors are flared out beyond the car. That helps me.

you can always buy those little tiny mirrors that are bent outwards and stick to your side view mirrors, they are suppose to help, but you will get used to it, i was going to get them but i got used to it.

I hear ya, it was and still is a little annoying but the whole car makes up for it. I just set my mirrors so that I cant see the car in them. Just past where you see a sliver of the side.

I have gotten used to the fact that I have blind spots... blind spots are still blind spots though at the end of the day and to some of us that's always going to be frustrating.

The first while it drove me nuts.... I'm at about 6,000km now.... (km not miles)
which still isn't that much... but... It's less annoying than it was innitially?

The biggest steps I took to help me... adjusting the mirrors.. (honestly i constantly adjust them depending on the angle of road I'm driving on too). Additionally.... as much as I disliked doing it.. raising my seat up and pushing it forward more... really helped out with the rear pillar blind spots... I guess it will depend on your height/posture size etc... as to whether that's possible or feasible.. or even helpful... but the seat adjustments helped me out the most.. There are still blindspots, and some of them are not fixable for me.

Adjust the mirrors to see the blind spot...and turn your head to see what you used to use the mirror for. There is really no reason to have any blind spots if your mirrors are adjusted properly. It's a car, after all -- thick C-pillar or no --, not a Flatbed.

As the others here have said, adjust your mirrors to compensate and learn to get used to your car. Remember, its the awesome styling that attracted you to this car that is the very reason for the limited visibility.

We are driving one of the most gorgeous examples of sheet metal design to come out the studios of Detroit....or anywhere else for that matter.

Here is a car with great visibility....would you rather drive this hideous thing?:

what i ALWAYS DO is look at my mirrors then turn my head to check the blind spots.
i used to just look in the mirror, not see anything,go to change lanes and almost run somebody off the road.i now check blind spots no matter what car i am driving.i don't even think about it now.i do it out of habit.unlike a lot of the guys,i have no problems with visibility with the camaro.
