Is anyone ever going to take their car to the Track

I have been really looking forward to seeing some time slips posted over in the 1/4 mile sticky after reading all of the talk about how fast this car was going to be. So far all I have read is

I really think this car will do well but sure would love to see how good some of these arm chair/internet racers really are.

When you take it to the track either 1/8 or 1/4 talk does not matter anymore. I watch guys in stock mustang GTs run all the time and they are turning in very good 1/8 mile times stock. Maybe we need to set up a head to head with a new Camaro against a stock GT here in North Fla. How about it guys. We have a stock GT in our club that consistently turns in under 9.0 in the 1/8.

Lets see some slips posted over in the drag sticky. No more talk lets see some slips,

I will asap....I'll put about 500-1000 miles on it and let it rip down the 1/4 to get a nice stock baseline before mods.

A stock SS should be able to spank a stock GT even in the 1/8 mile unless there is a big difference in drivers. Reaction time and shifts are very important on a 1/8 mile track.

Yeah, kinda like what Gary B was saying..... the car needs to have some miles put on it to break it in first.
Most of the cars out there still need more miles put on them.

I will make a trip or two to the track with the built up LS3-427 to document and see what she will do.

2SS/RS, Auto, RJT, Black interior, GFX at 4100 & LS3-427 under construction

Hell yeah. NYS is passing new laws about young drivers, I can't risk a ticket. Only one solution: go to a track.

Road Race track

Mine will be going to the track.......likely next year. Need a few mods! Haven't decided on both 1/4 m and roadrace or one before the other. The 2SS is equipped to do either right of the truck eh!

I did....

780 some odd miles V6 car wet 14.64 @ 96mph with a 20mph head wind.

his was with car in drive. I did not run it with the paddle shift. Thats for the nest trip. It will be faster with paddle shift as in drive it shifted out to drive befor the end of the quarter. I had it over a 100 in third the other night on the street.

It would drop 2 tenths with traction control on.

I do love this car.....

I just left off an idle with no burnout. I drove around the water.

The car would turn the tire about 1 time and then it was hooked.

Put it this way my outlaw 10.5 car 60's in the 1.17 range, the camaro ran in average of 2.16 to 2.17.... Its a little low on the low end grunt.

I took my 2SS auto last night and raced my friend's Challenger R/T 4 times. Walked him solidly each race...not even close. There was a Charger SRT8 with MagnaFlo's who ran a 13.9, my best time was 13.8. (FYI...It was extremely hot and muggy.)
