I have been lurking around here since I bought by used 2010 IBM SS 2 weeks ago. I finally decided to join, mainly because I have found some anomalies with my RPO code sticker in my trunk and was looking to see if anyone could help me out.

The model code on my RPO sticker is 1ES37. I have read about it and found that this is the code for a 1SS. There is an RPO code for 2SS in the codes. My car has everything on it that a 2SS has on it (heated seats, mirrors, etc.)

I have a picture of the code sticker below - can anyone here help me figure out is going on here?

Just verified mine as it is a 1SS and the code is 1ES37. It's possible that the previous owner got ahold of a wrecked car and bought everything from it.

Does your bluetooth handsfree calling work? Do you have a USB plug?

Check your center console and if you have the USB plug along with the 3/8 jack then your PDIM was switched.
Take the glove box off and have a look up for a silver box it should say Onstar module with Bluetooth and there will be a little antenna sticking out the back. The PDIM is a very easy switch however the Onstar module is a little bit more difficult to do as sourcing one has been an issue for some. I have read that one member recently ordered a 2011 onstar module with bluetooth but no word if it works with his 2010 car.

I have the USB and 3/8 jack. I also have working Onstar with Bluetooth, and the bluetooth works awesome (works on my Moto Droid and my iPod). The handsfree works and everything.

So the 2SS code is not for a 2SS? I have everything the 2SS has (heated leather seats, heated mirrors, autodimming rear and interior mirrors, etc.

I got this all cleared up on another site. A dealership ran the VIN for me and it looks like my sticker is wrong. My car was built as a 2SS.

I was going to suggest that maybe early in the run in '10 they started as a 1SS via the VIN and then were upgraded with parts. In other words, all 2SS cars would start as 1SS cars. Guess I was wrong! Interesting, though...

Glad you got it sorted out. Welcome to the forum. Get the dealer to go into GM Workbench and they can print you off a build sheet for your car. It will tell you the day it was built etc.

That is exactly what she did for me. My wife and I got a good chuckle that my build date is our wedding anniversary. I told her that from now on, when we celebrate our wedding anniversary, we have to have a birthday party for my Camille!
