Though I didn't get any pics of LS cars... I did manage to get a few of some other type of powered car
It was beautiful...unfortunately automatic. Couldn't get interior shots...Windows were up and it was too much glare.

Hey does any one have any input on being insured through Geico? They have me a quote that is 240 per 6 months less than what I have now, which is progressive.

Don't hold me to that, but seems like he mentioned it here or in a text at one point or another! Tell progressive that your car isn't a daily driver, if you haven't already! Tell them it's a pleasure vehicle! Sometimes the rates go down!

I told them it was for pleasure only and they gave me a rate of 750 for 6 months. I've been with them for 3 years now and they have never gave me a break on the policy for not having claims, tickets, etc.

Things are going well...I've just been working my ass off. I go to class all day Tuesday and thursday...no class MWF but then I work Monday and Friday, and Sat. and Sun during football home game weekends. Past two weeks I've been on the schedule working 40+ hours a week. This past week I racked up 45.5 hours. I'm actually home right now. I am headed up to KY tomorrow with my mom to drop off 5 horses we sold...coming back wednesday then I'm back to Auburn Wednesday night.

2013 Hot Rod Drag Week
Hey all drag racing fans. Hot Rod Drag Week is this week. They started in Bowling Green. Yes, they were the next event after LS fest. In fact, some LS Fest people stayed and entered Drag Week. I watched most of the 4 hour coverage last night. Hot Rod Drag Week was started by Hot Rod Magazine, who also started Hot Rod Power Tour. Anyway, Drag Week is an event where the racing starts in one city and end in another. The cars race, then pack up and must drive those cars to the next drag strip, usually a couple to a few hundred miles, then race again. Who ever goes the distance and has the average fastest time wins. The 5 time winner isn't racing this year, so there will be a new winner. They set records for the event last night. Someone got a 6.75 I think it was. Anyway, for those interested, here's the link to yesterdays coverage. They will have live coverage every day this week. It can be found at the Moter Trend Network on YouTube. It was mentioned that there is a link at Hot Rod.com as well. Anyway, for those interested, enjoy.

USAA here ... can't beat the rates $550 for 6 months, full coverage, daily driver with 12k or so a year. SS wasn't much more when I got a quote. I would imagine as a pleasure vehicle, occasionally driven, would be considerably less. I got lucky though, ex wife's dad was military. So she had USAA when we married. After divorce, I got to keep my policy, even though I'm not military. If you have any family that is, you may be able to get in.
