I have an Auto and there is no way this car is letting me get bored driving it...BTW, did you know that the C7 Z06 is being offered in Automatic for the 1st time now....Must be something good with the tranny if they are putting it in their Primo Vette for the 1st time.

JDP does.. you just have to add a few things to accommodate.. Yank Converter being one of them.

Dude, I find the Manual Tranny for Me is the right choice. I personally think the auto would be boring. Two pedals ? paddles ? Not for me.

2012 w/3,000 miles
I have my 2012 Ashen Gray auto listed for sale on the forum. It only has 3,000 original miles, stock, like-new and listed at $41,500. Much better deal than the one you provided a link with 34,000+ miles.

So the great auto vs manual.
My two cents. I have mostly owned autos. I like them and the technology has come a long way. However I chose to hug a manual zl1 because I feel it creates a better platform for building on. Something to consider. If your significant doesn't drive a manual then you may want to get the auto (or get the manual to prevent her from driving). Just s thought. Last. Everyone keeps talking about hoe the auto is a faster quarter mile car. Sorry but I just don't buy it. They have done that marketing for years because they want to sell more autos because they are more marketable to a different type of buyer. ://youtu.be/FygVmlmhrO4 There is a 5 min motortrend review that puts the manual at 3.8 with traction control disabled completely. Sure it's not as consistent. Sure with the average driver the auto will deliver more consistent times but it's all about the driver and preference. Buy what you know you will be happy with and have fun. I didn't think I would end up buying a manual but I did and glad. Last edited by 370zyzfr1; 01-11-2015 at 03:54 PM. |

Wow three GN's and one GNX. That brings back memmories, a friend of mine bought a GNX when they first came out, after seeing and driving his car I purchased a Grand National. I did not have deep enough pockets for the GNX. But I did mode my GN and had alot of fun beating up on the corvettes at the time. To the OP I was on the fence for a long time as far as the transmission, my advice is to see if you can test drive both. Every one has there reasons for picking one over another. As far as why there are more automatics for sale at this time, I suppose if you check another area in the country the numbers might be reversed. Either way what ever you pick, its a kick ass car to drive.
