Could you change the title to:
"45 years until completion!!" Ah, 6 bolts heads. That's nice to have. So it comes complete minus the intake? |

That was the original plan, GM hasn't made the crate motor yet So I am now building the motor from scratch. It will still be the LSX motor, but will have entirely forged rotating assembly, CR around 9.3:1. Heads are backordered, but will be here in about a month, unless I go with PRC or Mast. Motor should take 18psi and at least a 300 shot. Dedicated fuel system for the Nitrous is next. |

What's the deal with the stock engine you were building?

Keeping it around for now, I am reassembling it back to a drop in replacement. I might just forge it with what I have left over and have a spare. Who knows, maybe I'll sell it, I dunno.

In post 55 it looked like it was being rebuilt but it could very well be getting torn apart.

Yep, that was the initial tear down. As it sits now it is an empty block, sitting at a machine shop. It needs bearings to go back together, which I didn't expect with 1800 miles. Looked like there was some metal debris that came loose from the casting and put some grooves in em.

Yeah I think so, Nitrous Outlet has a nice one designed for our cars. It'll at least ease the load on the LPE unit, which sounds like it'll be a good thing. If I can get 780 wheel with blower only I'd be good with that, then a 100 shot should take care of the rest. 780 is about all my injectors will support at 85% duty cycle too.

Ooh I forgot about that, well my initial readings will be on a stick. The 4 speed should come into the picture sometime before CF4, but I want to give the shifting thing a whirl.

Hmmm maybe I should, I need to call RPM and find out what they would recommend too.

Check out "gotthato2fire's" build on here. He had a Maggie maxed 416 with the 10 rib through a built 6l. I think he could only make 14-15 psi on the 416 and I think barley cleared 700 wheel.
