They come with regular brake pads. Ceramic pads cost way to much for use on the SS.

For good pads $ 125-225 for front & $125-200 for rear.

A set of ceramic pads (and rotors designed for use with the ceramic pads) for all 4 wheels and the electronics to control the pressure, if I remember correctly was something like $14k new but the Camaro is too heavy for such a system as well.

There was another thread where someone wanted to do this and it went more in depth.

Here you go.

If you want a better brake system, don't bother with ceramics, go with the CTS-V system. It's be better for the Camaro and cheaper.

Ok I am one of the type of people who owns something and then likes to read all about options and stuff for it. Drives my wife crazy, but that is how I learned all about septic systems and keep ours from failing when over people all around us do fail. Same thing with well water when we lived in New Jersey. Heatpumps now and so on. I just love to read and gather info.

He's thinking of Ceramic rotors. Ceramic pads are common nowdays.
Autozone sells patented Ceramics as Duralast Gold (Duracrap gold lol.. joke..).

But they are the best replacement pads out there sans the Hawks for racing applications.
IMO*.

I was gonna say, My monte has ceramic pads and they make a lot less dust on my rims. I love them. I just didn't remember paying that much for them

Yeah the dust is wondering about. I did order the polished wheels thinking they would stay cleaner than painted wheels. My Accord has horrible brake dust issues.
