The first thing I did when I brought my Escalade home was take the splash guards off. They ruin a car's look, IMO.

Ugly. I've never had a stone chip as big or as ugly as a splashguard yet.

I bought a set of factory splash guards painted to match but have decided NOT to install them because they do ruin the body lines of my Camaro. If your Camaro is lowered they don't look as bad imo.

It's not lowered. I kinda do want to take them off but I don't think my dad would like that very much. I just graduated high school and he put them on so I don't even know if I can take them off.

You may as well leave them on since he already installed them. I never installed mine (still in box but too late to return them) so I will be selling them soon. I never even cared for them on the Toyota trucks I used to drive in the early 90's.

How true.

I don't like them at all. Clear bra looks so much better.

You should see how pitted my slashguards are after 22,000 miles. The front ones won't even shine up any more (the part facing the wheels).

It is equivalent to looking at 1000 grit sand paper.

Glad I have them on, as I have very few gill chips, and I don't have sandpaper looking rocker panels.

I only noticed little rock chips at first and now I can only see them if I put my nose upto the side gills.

I don't care for the look, but I like the protection.
