How 'bout you just close this thread so it doesn't keep popping up?

Oh yeah... and dude... you can't afford it.

futureBUMblebee, to answer your question, YOU CANNOT AFFORD A CAMARO! Like I tell my kids "if you don't work, you can't have anything you can't afford". I think your mommy and daddy need to teach you the value of hard work.

I work a part time job and get around $800 a month, minimum. No other bills. I have an 83 Camaro which I could possibly sell for like $1500-2000.. A few grand saved up and maybe could get more money (especially if it takes a long time from now to actually buy the Camaro).

I don't know how taxes, tags, registration fees and all things like that work?

I basically want the cheapest model possible, an automatic LS in yellow

I don't need the black stripes or spoiler right away, can I get more Bumblebee accurate ones later from someone else? Are they really hard to install?
General Life Rule #1...if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. don't look at just the payment...figure in taxes, registration fees, license plates each year, safety inspections, smog inspections, oil changes, new brake pads, new tires, etc.

My culture shock on my Crossfire was the $95 oil change (8 qts of Mobil 1 and a Mercedes filter) and the $235 front/$265 rear tires.

Drive what you can afford and not what you want. Your credit rating will thank you for it.

Thanks, I"ll tell them that. I do work by the way.

I just realized I didn't say how much I'd have down, which would be around 8-10k, maybe that's why everyone was so adamant I couldn't afford one?

Asking the question then saying you didn't want to work rubs people the wrong way. They call that trolling because it get's people worked up and starts a fight for no good reason.

To get the car your expected to work hard for it not for it to just be a gravy thing.

I think trolling should be reserved for those people that purposely try to start fights like coming here and saying "Camaros suck only fords rule!!!"

Yeah that would suck..
I was thinking about getting a 4th gen now. Like a 2002 Camaro SS or Trans am..

Those cars were like $30k, really expensive.. now they're not so bad
I'm just worried, as is my dad, that if I buy used it'll be another pos/piece of junk

okay it comes down to this basically you got to work your a$$ of needless to say. Im 20 going to be 21 soon and ive saved alot of money i work at menards make around 22000 a year go to college for cisco networking and live at home with my parents and im waiting on delivery of a 2lt which will be around 30,000 when all said and done. Yah i know most people do not like to work i mean really who does but in order to have fun you have to have money and in order to have money you have to work and if hours arent available at your current job there are other jobs out there that are willing to give hours. What im saying is you need to work in order to have things that you enjoy.

Also call your insurance company see if they can give you a quote add it to estimated monthly payment then see what you got left.

Then form your own opinion dont just impulse buy make sure you can afford it.

If you need a car why dont you get a car that used. You can pick up a 98-02 camaro firebird for 8-10k, and they will still be somewhat nice.
