It's confirmed!! The 1LE is suppose to be a direct contender with the GT350 according to GM.

He said this new 1LE beats the old 1LE by 3 seconds on a 2-minute track (5:16). Also they will have a lot of the accessories available for purchase in the performance catalog.

I believe the V-6 version is going to draw in a lot of new customers especially those guys and gals who like cars like the Nissan Zs...very smart move on Chevy to bolster this segment of the model..
