Do some research on builders/shops, pick one you like, talk with them what your goals are and/or how you want to use the car, give them your car.

Eventually you'll probably want your car back, so don't give it to them for "keeps"

Hit up Matt from FSP. They come up to PCB almost every month to do. Many will vouch for him and Rodney.

LS3 block won't do 1000whp, sorry. You need 6 bolt heads to do that, trust me, I know the feeling. To do it right, you're talking 15k in the motor only, and then it needs to be Installed if cant do it yourself. Then, add 3k to the bill for incidentals, all in all you have a 20k+ motor for 1000whp... And you don't even have a power adder yet

It really isn't, but if you want to blow the heads off of your car, it's up to you.

4 bolt heads are very different than 6 bolt heads. I'm not saying it can't be done, it just won't last.

That video is of a motor just like mine, an LSX block with forged components, very different from an LS3. Before you jump into this you should do a lot more research, it will be time well spent.

The best way to go is to do all the labor yourself and get an lsx 416. Price will come down to about 9.5k.

Iirc they were welding an ear on the blocks for a 6 bolt head. How much boost will you be using? Will you be going s/c or turbo?
It turbo you won't be needing 6bolt heads. I've seen plenty of Ls1/2/3's with forged internals and ARP head studs IN the 900's you'll be fine.
Good luck

Whoops, missed that 1,000 rwhp part.

Yea OP, an LS3 can't safely/reliably make 1,000 rwhp without you having to worry about something breaking.

Block would need to be sleeved for 1000hp.

4 bolt heads are fine if setup properly. There are plenty of cars running 1100-1300hp with 4 bolt heads. Just need the crazy expensive ARP bigger ARP studs. 1/2" L19 studs will hold 1000hp easily with a thicker deck aftermarket head.
