This might be the single most common mod on this forum. People like it. It sounds good. There are reports of drone. I've heard it in person and I like it.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21289

edit: There is 0 hp or tq effects from this mod. It is sound only.

Muffler delete is a good way to go first to see if you like the loudness of it. Lots of options that are available to look at, lots of videos as well too.

Or are you looking for something that sounds a bit meaner like this?

There are videos all over youtube and the internet of Camaros with straight pipes. I personally wouldn't go straight pipe, because I don't think any exhaust sounds very good when not tuned. I'm not one to assume that loud is better, I like a deep tone with a steady rumble which requires a good muffler. My second priority would be performance increase followed by volume.

I had my exhaust guy do mine, he talked me out of the Magnaflow kit, mentioned it's just aluminized pipe with fancy tips..

He put in stainless tubes, and welded the factory tips on, and staked them out a little bit, looks, and sounds mean as hell!
