NEW ZL1 QUESTION, MAYBE

Can anyone tell me how many 2012 ZL1 Camaros will be produced? My guess was 2012, but I heard someone say 396.

The number I recall off the top of my head is 900 in the initial run, then a possible tweak to the process during a break, then a total of approximately 3000 for the '12 model year.

Anyone with confirmed numbers?

My guess sometime back was 1969.....wouldn't it be something if that came to pass? Good question though...

The only number that I have heard, semi-officially, is that there will be less 2012 ZL1s produced than there are Chevrolet dealerships in the U.S. of which there are just over 3,000.

+1

When dealers were given their guide number, and updated information on ZL1s, the total number built was not given.

As I understand it, GM will not limit ZL1 production. That being said, the number will be low because most of us will not be readily able to afford it.

I think that applies to the 2013 model. Each dealership has already been given their allocation numbers for the 2012 model. I'm not saying they can't hand out more, but since they are planning on releasing the 2013 in the summer time, I'd take a guess and say that will be it for the '12s

Might want to read a bit before posting, that question was asked yesterday.
