It will run a 4.7 0-60 but does the quarter in 13.3? That is what I consider slow compared to the heavier camaro that will run the quarter in 12.8. That half a second on the 1320, 5 car lengths. That's what matters to me. 0-60 is great for a stop light race but I like to run down the track. Also I think it would be much more of a drivers race on a road course than you think. The car is still ugly IMO. I don't like it and that's why I'm not a member on a Z message board. Not to mention it's a foriegn car and I am against anybody buying one in this market. I'm sorry, last time I checked this was a Camaro site. Right????

Seems like everybody around here is kissing the Z's behind, I'm having a hard time understanding how that is possible with a bunch of people who supposedly ordered the new Camaro. They are not in the saem class. I could see if somebody would want to buy both cars, not one or the other. I am far from a fanboy not to mention I'm on a Camaro site.

Well to me, if two vehicles have similar performance at a similar price, then they are in the same class. Out of curiosity, why do you consider the 370Z to not be in the same class? Lack of rear seats?

sorry but i ordered a blk2ss r/s and i started this thread. i think its a great car and i think the camaro is going to be great. i will be very pleased with either.i like to look at all my options and not be a block head.

I call you out on that bet, I think the Camaro SS will beat the 370Z on most race tracks thanks to the Camaro's superior power to wieght ratio. I look foward to racing 370Z's on the track once I get my SS, they should provide stiff competition depending on track layout. The mustang on the other hand will see nothing but a windscreen full of taillights!!

dude the challenger srt8 does the quarter in 13 flat and with a stick in 12.9

the SS will be a 12.7-12.8 car stock
