Although both Corvette and Camaro use vacuum actuated exhaust valves, there are differences. In the Camaro, the control software resides in the chassis control module that contains other software, to reduce the number of modules in the vehicle.

The Corvette is calibrated to open the exhaust valves only during aggressive driving, when engine rpm and throttle position exceed certain values. The Camaro is also calibrated to be open during aggressive driving. In addition, it is calibrated to open the valves at engine idle and up to 1,000 rpm.

Nearly the same exhaust system and the corvette so i would imagine this should still work. IMO 10$ manual switch better than 100$ remote.

There is no need to try, lol. I am going to be the dummy. It is the same setup as an SS, just without the resonators and the dual mode mufflers of course. I sent my headers out to be ceramic coated. Once I get them back I'm going to install this on my SS. Of course, I am starting the install process of the vacuum and control box setup shortly.

Neat!

Update worth bringing up, I guess -- they're going to offer the dual-mode exhaust on LS3 Camaros for the '13 MY....I'm interested to see if the factory option is identical, or adapted slightly...

If u take out this fuse will it hurt the way the system works talked to some people they say the straight flow of the exhaust when it is close allows less restriction. was wondering will this hurt the engine in any way

Nope. Done to reduce noise. That's it. And in a ZL1, there really isn't much difference to me.
