Do these ZR1 plugs come pre-gapped?

They were a little tight, I gapped them to .040, but most of them were very close to that.

Ted.
Yeah, that's what I'm doing. NGKBR7's misfired at cruise. Brisk 12's (8 heat range) are too cold. No signs of heat and are not staying clean. I think I'll go with the Denso IT22's, then if they are too cold by readings Ill try the ZR1's. hate to buy so many plugs but I'd rather sneak up from it on the cold side than go too hot and detonate.

To big of a gap with a blower and nitrous. We tightened up the gap after Ted learned some stuff on the dyno.

What gap are you running? Im guessing around .032. I know the sbc engines on the spray liked no more than .028 but then that gets harder to light off the mix at light throttle cruise.

NGKs and Densos are best suited for Japanese makes, since they are Japanese spark plug brands.

Also, I'm about 100 miles from updating the info with the ZR1 plugs. I'll try to get out and drive it if the weather shapes up a bit.

Not necessarily. Tools don't go into the functioning or operation of the mechanism itself. It is as the name implies, a tool used to achieve a greater goal (assembling parts together. You don't use a hand wrench in place of a piston, now do you?).

I watched EricTheCarGuy on YouTube and his explanation of spark plugs. Subaru (a Japanese make) will not run with non-Japanese spark plugs, like Autolite. Therefore, it only makes sense (generally) that the location of make of the engine and spark plugs match for best performance.
