Some sort of body filler is what you need. 3M makes all kinds. You'll find this at most auto parts type stores. Clean then sand then clean again the area around the damage and then apply filler as instructed. Once dry you can sand and shape to the splitter, and then clean, prime, paint. Plenty of You Tube videos out there on using the stuff (and how to paint) that are much more detailed than what I just said. Good luck!

Depends, is it plastic or fiberglass?

Looks like some form of plastic to me, maybe just sand smooth to make it look alot better?
Edit: Nevermind i see the little fibers now. I have no idea how to go about repairing that by oneself |

Since it'll probably happen again, I suggest using that door molding trim stuff to protect the bottom edge.

I had my splitter crack about 4 inches when I first got it. I used JB Weld Plastic Bonder and it worked awesome. You can then sand it and I just painted mine with rattle paint. To really cover it up I used Plasti Dip the first time but didn't really like the texture.

Something that small can be fixed with just a couple brush strokes of resin. Then use body filler to shape it. Prime and paint. It's not that bad at all.
