Yeah...until you put that freaking kit on it. And 300hp with 3700lbs is nothing to brag about. The Cobalt SS, Mazdaspeed 3, and Caliber SRT-4 will all eat the Camaro V6 alive and all 3 are probably going to be cheaper...and those are 4 bangers, fwd at that, and all with less hp.
Just wanted to note on this:

the Mazdaspeed has 12.1 hp/wt
SRT4 has 11.7
Cobalt SS has 11.5
V6 Camaro has 12.1

The Camaro is RWD as well. I don't think any of them will be eating the Camaro alive-it's actually pretty close. The mileage is arguably better for the Camaro V6 as well except for the case of the Cobalt because it uses regular. (MZS3 26mpg premium, SRT4 26mpg premium). So considering that's only 4 vehicles in the vast sea of 4 bangers you see on the street- so what.

A 6 sec flat 0-60 with the FE3 handling package and 26mpg on regular fuel is a pretty damn strong combination. I'm thinking $26k with 26mpg on regular has a LOT of appeal vs $30k and 23mpg on premium. Now if you are racing-well more power to you.

My option choices: upgraded stereo, sun-roof, light wheels (if the stockies are heavy I'd go with AM), CAI if it sounds right, and the upgraded suspension.

I'm just saying that the power to weight ratio is not something to brag about...I don't see how that is putting down the Camaro...it sucks you took it that way.
Oh no, I realize that. I didn't read it as though you said the V6 sucked or anything to that effect. But I did get the impression that you were stepping on the V6...I apologize if that wasn't the case. I just feel very strongly that the V6 is just as worthy of bragging as the SS is...two different levels of performance, but both are absolutely phenominal values in their own right. (See below)

Some 'changes': think less time 0-60 (not much less...but less), more fuel economy, and less money (as in well under 25k). And that is what I was getting at: very much worthy of mention, and quite the bragging peice, imo.

Numbers are off.

Mazdaspeed: 11.9 lbs per hp (3153lbs/263hp)
http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...ehicleCode=MS3
CSRT-4: 11.1 lbs per hp (3,189lbs/285hp)
http://www.dodge.com/hostc/vsmc/vehi...Code=CUD200802
Cobalt SS: 11.3lbs per hp (2,950lbs/260hp)
http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=6702
Camaro V6: 12.4lbs per hp (3741lbs/300hp)

That is actually a significant difference. And don't forget about torque, all of those cars are within 15lbft of torque, one actually has more. Not to mention drivetrain loss, I wouldn't be surprised if the CSRT-4 actually dynos more power to the wheels. The only place the Camaro will keep up is 0-60 because of RWD. After that, it's toast.

You're right, it is worth bragging about. Just not how fast it is, because it is going to get eaten up by alot of cars.

I don't think it will look the same because if it was they could just put it in the Camaro when it comes out.

Hello, sorry if this has been asked before. I'm new and haven't read though all the threads yet.

Does anyone know if the Body Color Lighted Trim Kit is the same as the ambient lighting for the cars with leather interior and if so are those 3 colors optional colors instead of the default blue that I've been seeing?

I'm assuming the front one is the stock spoiler and the rear one is the blade spoiler? It's kind of hard to tell w/o it on the car. It looks pretty sweet though.
