Let's talk headers :)
I posted a cam thread before and thought about it and found I may be getting a head of myself. I'm looking at getting headers first, an upgrade I said in that thread I would get. I can install the headers myself with hopefully no problems. OK....so upon researching headers for days..I still can't find a answer to my question . Maybe my interweb skills are lacking lol. I am trying to find the best headers for the buck..aren't we all?? I know most people will say 1 7/8 LT are the best. My question is are 1 7/8 LT or 1 7/8 tri Y the best headers? Now keep in mind this is for a bolt on and at max cam/ head work Camaro. It will be mainly street driven and see the occasional track...guessing street/strip?? I've been looking at TSP and DT as budget header manufacturers. Oh, also will these bolt onto the Flowmaster outlaw catback?

Tri Ys are over hyped
Best bang for the buck are the eBay headers and TSP 1 7/8s IMO the LG Motorsports are sweet headers that's just my personal opinion plus I run them and had great luck

Most 1 7/8 LT headers are going to perform very similar. Might be a few hp (2/3) from brand to brand. Pick what best fits your budget as long as there stainless steel you should be fine. Most ppl will recommend whatever there running. As far as tri y I haven't seen any where they significantly outperform a regular 1 7/8.

Thanks for the replys!!
Yes I haven't found anything that really proves one is better than the other. Most people agree 1 7/8 LT headers are the "best" all around for a bolt on street car. With saying that I will be ordering the TSP 1 7/8 LT. Now do these still have to have a "dimple" put in them? I know some people did and others didn't. Just a bad batch or install?

2' or 1 7/8? Did you have to put the "dimple" in yours?

2" headers preform the best at all rpms. Its been tested and proven. Also my 2" headers fit perfect with room to spare.

The research I did shows that 1 7/8" and 2" headers performed basically the same until around 5K rpms when the 2" pulled ahead by a few hp and tq. Now upon reading I discovered that the 2" may be better for FI? Correct me if I'm wrong.

There was no hassle with mine and they wear the same price as 1 7/8 so why not?
