So I should pull the cobra and SVT emblems off my SS then?

sick rides Austin & Sene!
It simply sickens me how people will let other folks decision making affect them! It's none of your darn business why they are doing anything to something they own. You didn't pay for it so mind your own and pay attention to your own vehicle. This is AMERICA and nobody has to answer to anyone if they're not breaking the Law. If I ever do get a Gen 5 I will get the ZL1 Fascia and SLP Hood etc. Customizing your own car is a beautiful thing.

We have a winner! Don't get me wrong folks, this "SS" looks great with the ZL1 front end and it's fast too! But to put ZL1 emblems on it! come on...

That being said, Austin, your car is really nice. I need to find more pics of it to put in my Camaro pic folder. I am partial to a more stock look. I don't really dig things that look all wild and crazy like a rice wing that was stolen off a park bench. But some people do, if it makes them happy, cool. I guess I would say it is kinda lame to put an SS or ZL1 badge on if you don't have those versions. I do really like the ZL1 front end and would like to get it, but I won't be rockin a ZL1 badge on my SS. |

Nothing wrong with changing the appearance of your car simply because you like the way it looks better. Now if you go slamming RS/SS/ZL1 badges on your car and its not, then WTF. Also, It would be lame to try and drop a SS engine in a V6, etc.. |

This car looks KILLER, but take those ZL1 badges off! It has the badges and stearing wheel (???), but has "SS Supercharged" on the hood. Much more respect with having all the emblems shaved (keep it a mystery until you run an 11 second 1/4 mile on them).

Who cares. I have seen more SS/Z28 1st gens than were ever built by a mile. Truckloads of COPO and Yenko clones roll across the auction block. If the owner likes it then so be it. Pretty sure aftermarket halos have been a HUGE seller and added to countless non RS cars.
Far more important things to care about. |

That's the thing I love about Jeeps and Camaros.. such a huge aftermarket following, that you can really customize the vehicle until your heart is content!!
You end up with a truly one-of-a-kind custom vehicle that reflects who you are. I say, go for it, except for 1 rule: Don't upgrade or change your name badge.. if you have an SS, don't slap an LT or ZL1 name badge on.. Be proud of what you drive.

Switching parts and emblems is understandable. Some people do it to make their car unique, some do it to clone another car... just like people that have taken chevelle malibu's and made them an SS clone or somebody with a 1st Gen camaro or a mustang that was a inline-6 but through a small block in there and put on some SS, Z28, or GT emblems on. Just look at famous beautiful cars that have been produced such as the Yenko, GT500, GTX, or the Superbird and some people can't afford an original but love the look, so they make there own. People have been doing this for years, and it can get anoying sometimes, but it's their car.... and I don't see a problem with it
