OK so I worked late last night so just getting up, heres the pics, the back picture has the holes for the latch flanges, the latch covers the hole completely.

Sorry where are the holes?
I have a coupe, how will the holes affect the trunk when I have it installed? Will I be able to see them or what ? |

The latch will go over them, the flanges on the Latch are in the middle of the latch. |

####those that are PM'ing me with concerns about the holes drilled showing, while a valid concern, is not an issue. the latch does cover them, but even if it did not, the trunk cover, that covers all the cables and even the latch itself would cover any hole as well. So unless your not going to use the cover, which would expose the 3 or 4 cables under it, you have zero chance of it being seen##########

The $350 + Shipping price really is my lowest offer. If someone was going to be getting this anyways its a good bit of savings, but I in no way am in need of the money, I'm offering it up as potential saving for another member. I'm not even advering it anywhere else. VIS is selling it for $830 + $150 shipping. I bought mine off EBay for just over $500 +$150 Shipping ($650 total) (and that was a good price).... I'm offering it for $350 + $150 shipping ($500 total)...seems like my offer is more than fair to me. I actually thought the $450 + $150 shipping was. All thats not counting the Paypal hit I get as well.
http://www.visracing.com/newcatalog/...FQmonQodNSsA1Q If it doesn't sale, I fully intend to cut it up and see if I can make something like the RKSport type diffuser with it. http://www.carid.com/2010-chevy-cama...ts-350424.html So no sense in offering me less. I really don't have to sell it, I'm just offering it out before I start cutting it up. Last edited by Rhyder; 06-06-2013 at 01:50 PM. |

ok so I may be backing off the cutting up bit, having to research it more. Several members have made me a little nervous about it as far as health reasons
looking into finding a place to do it and what equipment I really need. Until then its still for sale |

OP,
I have no clue what the "issues" with this trunk are. Your post isn't clear to my so I'm not really following you. Some clarifying questions: 1) Why did you wish you return it? 2) What's wrong with the holes you made? need more pics? 3) To have this installed in another car, what is required? More drilling? Thanks. |

1) Why did you wish you return it? I have a convertible, the convertible has a shorter trunk by about 3-4 inches than the coup, so doesnt fit my car. I was not aware of the difference upon ordering it.
2) What's wrong with the holes you made? need more pics? the holes are there for the flanges on the back of the latch, theres nothing wrong with them. but since they are there I cant return it, as it has once mounted, worked on etc it is nonreturnable 3) To have this installed in another car, what is required? More drilling? nothing out of the ordinary would be required to put it on another car as long as it is a coup Last edited by Rhyder; 05-20-2013 at 07:32 PM. |
