Car Covers

I am intersted in your opinions on car covers. I live in Canada so I have to deal with weather extremes. For example it's 95F here today and in the winter is has gotten as cold as -30F. Because I work sparodic hours and days the car will sit in the driveway for days at a time. I am going to try not to drive it too much in the winter, but it will still need to be used occasionally.
My garage is my woodworking shop, no room for a car, so I am considering a car cover. I see a lot of different ones advertised on eBay. I know I need something water resistant, UV resistant, mildew resistant, and breathable. Do any of you use a car cover and do you have any brand recommendations? Any reasons NOT to use one? TIA

Getting a car cover for the winter is definitely a good idea. The main reasons you want it is to protect the paint from sun-fading and from water and snow freezing in all the crevices. As long as the cover is reasonable thick and opaque it should be UV resistant, and they all should be waterproof. Any brand will be fine, maybe see if you can get some of the GM ones from your dealer. They probably even have ones that are yellow with black stripes.

Here is a link to a company in Ontario called Hugger Covers. They are great to work with and I know other members on here have gotten their covers and are quite pleased. So, when you call, ask for Mike.
