Is it possible to change the color of the ABL without doing the EL wire mods?
I tried the search function, but I usually have about as much success with that as I do getting Selma Hayek to have Porno sex with me on the hood of my camaro...
So does the GM digikey come in any colors other than Ice Blue or Orange? All of my other lighting (footwells, dome light, etc) is darker Blue. Can you continue to use the factory ABL, but change the light color? |

This would make for a good DIY in the future when you have the time after you finish up your other amazing projects!

Wait, I'm confused here because of all the Horrible grammar mulling around... Makes me so angry when people can't communicate properly! So I have ABL on my yellow Camaro. I want to change the color in the doors to yellow instead of the timid blue. Do I have to rip apart the doors, or do I just change out that 5mm LED?!

Yes and Yes. You have to take the door panels off to get to the LED so that you can change it.

I changed my ABL door panel lights from the factory ice blue to red. I got the leds from SmJ on this site. He's out of the greater Chicago area and sells LEDs, wiring harnesses and other lighting mods. Didn't look over what Ofer posted but I'm sure whatever he's suggested is 'golden'. I know I just pulled my OEM LEDs and replaced them with what he sent me and it was cut and dry.

This is where I bought mine. I put a led on both ends of the light tube.
You can buy the leds with the resistor. Here is the link http://www.oznium.com/prewired-leds or the ones with out the resistor but you will need to buy the right resistor http://www.oznium.com/led
