They drove it around the lot and said nothing was wrong with it! Took it to Athens they drove it and lo and behold there was something wrong! I hate Commerce! But the car was only a mile from them!!!!!!!!! That's why I opted to take it there! The sons of BIT$h's!!!
Sounds like trouble! Also sounds typical of a lazy Chevy Dealer. The whole "did you buy it here" thing is a PITA. They need to quit b*tching, it's work and they'll get paid by Chevy to do warranty work, so I don't see why they complain.

A mile away isn't bad though, probably woulda cost you a good bit to haul it really far somewhere. Let me guess, they are just gonna "get around to it today or tomorrow"?

Just got back from the streetside classics.

The entire experience can be summed up in smileys.

Pictures are forthcoming. (there's a LOT of them.)

Long story short, you picked a great company to work with and probably the best chevelle in the house.

EDIT: NOOO MOST MY PICS ARE BLURRY!

Uploading what I can.

The salesman I spoke with was named Sean Mullings and he was very friendly. He said think of them as a real estate agent. The seller sets the price and they work with you on negotiations. You work directly with the shipper and they can help you get what you need for it to make the move to canada. The prices are negotiable (good thing too.. cos some of these folks are PROOUUUDD of their cars..)

And the car you were looking for sir:

Full album is here:
http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/a...de%20Classics/

Personal opinion of the car:
As mint as the pictures on their website show. Paint is perfect, though a bit dusty, car is EXTREMELY clean inside and out, a lot of care has been taken in the restoration.

There is some minor scuffs on the stainless trim around the rear window, but this is normal for a car this old, and could be fixed with a good polish if you really wanted to.

There were only 2 flaws I could find on the car.

The scuffs on the stainless trim I noted above, and, as you MAY be able to see in the photos above, the gauge cluster appears to be original, and the plastic is yellowed and opaque. You can read the gauges, but it would drive me nuts if it were my car.

Most expensive car I saw was the orange 56 belair. $88k!

Check out my build journal. I mapped out and documented my route pretty well with backed-up track runs and dyno. Bolt-ons: 376hp, 12.1/ Cam: 424hp, 11.6/ D1: 620hp, 10.8.

Even included a cost analysis (up to the cam):

But you do need to decide if you want to go towards drag racing (like me) and build for that, or all-around, which will entail different choices.

When I got there they had a red 69 RS/SS with black interior right up front.

2 teenagers were looking at it. Sales man got in and started it up..

LOVE a mean cam in a big block.. it was LOUD too.

Guy I was talking to yelled "who needs a girlfriend when you can have this?"

I told em.. a car like that comes with a girlfriend.. you'll have to fend em off if you get that thing!

That was NOT a daily driver car tho. That thing was show class.

The headers I got were TSP 409 LTs from a dude in b-ham. Wont' have em for a few weeks. Gotta go see parents this weekend for mom's day.

so, by this logic, if I do an intake (thinking varam?)

LTs, HF cats and tune..

I should pick up 60FWHP?

What's that translate to the wheels? 15hp?

If you see my cost analysis, with CAI, HFCats, and Shorties alone, I picked up 64fw, which translated to more than 6mph at the track.

That was WITHOUT a tune. (Disclaimer: I did tune the tranny before I touched the cats and headers, but no motor parameters were touched until we got it on the dyno.)

With a tune on the dyno, I was at 376dhp (dyno HP ), a pick up of ???... probably 50dhp if my L99 was an average 324dhp stock.

That's sucks. I believe these are obx's they were on the car when I bought it. They made good power on the dyno. Anyone know how much they are new? We never knew what they were till we pulled then off.
