It only takes getting T-boned by a truck one time to make a Mini, or a Focus, or a Smart Car's great gas mileage seem like maybe not so great an idea.

But, what are the odds?

Got it!! And you're right, I don't see a lot of guys driving Minis, and when I do, they seem to be fruit loops. haha

Alright guys! Thanks for all the inputs. I can already see that this would be an idiotic move. I'm keeping my 2SS.

You're crazy. If you want MPG at least buy a cruze. You can get them as cheap as $16k and the manuals get 42mpg hwy. It's got a turbo and it'll surprise you with its speed, probably comparable to the mini and it's actually a real car. Better MPG, American made, what else could you want?

Dude. Do what's best for you. If the suggestion to keep the SS isn't accompanied by money to make the payment, ignore it.

I love the Mini, and I want to get one myself, but I would never trade a 400+hp V8 RWD for FWD anything. Not ever.

Everyone has their own reasons and I understand.....but a Mini!?! I just hate them for some reason. They just come off as pretentious.

I had a buddy back in 07' that boosted his and had 530WHP. He sold it and said he'd never been happier bc even girls laughed at him in it.

I pay $700 a month for car and motorcycle including insurance. Bought both off the showroom floor. If you drive the bike more you can afford it. Costs $6 to fill the Harley up.

I had a mini, spent most of its life in the service dept for odd things, noises and check engine lights, sold it after 24k miles and 120 days in the dealer for service. Did not mind as I was given a mini replacement, figured what the heck, I will rack up the miles on theirs.
