? for those with axle backs..Borla, GMPP, SLP, etc...
I have my Borla axle backs and it seems to get louder as time goes by....
but my question is, when I am slowing down and braking as the rpm levels drop, if they drop slow I get a popping sound from the exhaust at about 1500 rpm...seems to do it more in 4th gear... is this popping normal with the axle backs? do any other have the same popping? for those that have the GMPP touring (not offroad) do you have the same pop? also do you guys have any drone? it seems to hum some at 75 mph and 6th gear, but any higher rpm's it goes away and if I drop to 5th it gets a little better thanks

yeah I did a muffler delete with straight pipes instead of SLP loudmouth I and love it, finally sounds like there is something under the hood. Same thing, some back pressure 'pops' at certain RPMs and it's LOUD at about 2k RPM.

I'm not really a big fan of the popping sound. Does the complete cat back system cure this with any of the above emntioned systems? I have the SLP PowerFlo catback on my old Z28 with no popping. It never popped with or without headers either. I was hoping to go with the SLP II, but I might get the PowerFlo again or add a resenator on the x-pipe, I know Magnaflow has a resenator on the x-pipe to help this on their system, but I prefer the 300-series stainless steel the others offer.

I wasn't a fan of the popping either... at first. After I got used to it though I actually started to like it. :-)

I just got my SLP loudmouth 1 installed and I love it! The popping sounds are new to me but I'm already starting to like it!

No drone on the SLP LMII, is that an axle back or cat back?

toehead, slp 2 is a axle back. im like you, just dont know what i want yet. been doin a lot of research. im goin axle back for sure, i need the warranty. im torn between the slp 2 loudmouth and the gmpp street exhaust. i dont want any drone and no popping. well a pop here and there would be ok. question-will the gmpp cai improve the sound of the gmpp exhaust even more. the gmpp is just not quite loud enough for me. thx
