Hmf...I think it should be the other way around! Hyundai early on said they were going to market this car as the cheapest car with 300hp on the planet....well, Camaro undercut that by quite a bit now didn't it.

Plus...preliminary reviews have the V6 Camaro slated as "the American G37"...so I think everything's shaping up quite well.

I hate the star system. It should be out of at least 100 points. The difference between a 5 star rated car and a 4 star rated car can be huge and it can be small. And don't even get me started with half stars

Ok but...when you drive down the street what do you think people are going to notice - a new Hyundai or the new Camaro.
And when you tell people you bought the new Hyundai or the new Camaro, what do you think they are thinking when they hear Hyundai? Yes they've improved dramatically, but a Hyundai sports car?
Maybe in 10 years, but I want American muscle!
I think my Dad is looking at the Hyundai - enough said?

i saw this car at the chi auto show......

This car Is ummm okay i guess, to me it looked like a better looking tiburon

It does not look good in any bright or flashy colors. I say that because the black genesis looked 10x better than the yellow one

I saw and sat in a couple of these at the Fort Lauderdale Auto Show today. I must say, I am really impressed. They copied the old G35 coupe heavily, at least in the interior (dare I say, it looks even better than mine did inside). I think it looks great all-around (better in person than in pics), esp. the wheels and brembos. If it didn't have a Hyundai badges everywhere, I would not know they made it.

If you care more for what other people think of you and the things you purchase rather than the car itself, I suppose that might be a problem.

Many people will notice both cars because they're new. I bought an Elantra when it was completely redesigned for the 2001 model year...it wasn't even sporty, yet I had a lot of people stop me at gas stations and shops and so on asking about it because no one where I lived at the time had seen one before, and because of the styling cues that car had, some of them thought it was a BMW. And that's just a little economy car...people will definitely notice the Genesis.

Maybe not as many those who will notice the Camaro, but still

definitely a good leap forward, I saw one coming from a 1/4 mi away a few days ago. I want to get out and test drive one sometime, not in the market for a car but I like test drives.

I'm sorry but if impressing others is your motto in life, that is quite an expensive lifestyle you have there. I'm not that insecure nor am I rich like some people. For me, I buy what I like, not what others like. I could care less of what others think of me with my purchasing decisions. It's my money, not theirs.
