I'm here in NY and get "challenged" to race almost daily....here's the thing, 90% of them are other 5thgen camaros. I am getting ready to retire as a LEO so it's not worth losing my retirement over, but I can't understand why fellow 5th gen owners want a race.... WE HAVE THE SAME CAR, MOST LIKELY THE SAME MODS!! maybe I am just getting old, but if I was going to race it would be against a mustang, challenger...etc not a car that I already have a good idea what it can do. What are your guys thoughts.

MY guess is they KNOW they Can beat the Stangs and Challengers they are looking for Something equal? Just my thoughts on the Question? I have a V6 so I'm not often looking for a race

Probably just because its fun, and camaros are awesome, making a race awesomely fun. Its simple math, really.

I personal dont start races but. I get alot of chances. But most people back off once they hear the snail

jcollins.....if it were ME.....and if I were in YOUR position.....I know EXACTLY what I would do....I have NO DOUBT. If I were going alowng ion the hightway, and came up next to me wanting to challenage me....I would have one of these........

Whenever I run across another Camaro owner (usually SS). I think it would be cool just to follow and stuff, but some of these guys think I just want to race. Whenever they see me in the rear view they just gun it through traffic which makes them look like idiots.

racing has always been about the driver and the car.

a driver can make the difference as well as the cars setup.

when some one challenges you they just want to know where they stand against you.

The area where I live you won't find that. However there was a time when I had my Vette where I would have someone wanting to race everyday. At first I thought it was my Vette attracting that attention, but I recently visited my old neighborhood and I was getting the same thing happening while in my Camaro.

Even with an SS they better bring some bolt ons and a tune with them if they try that on a 392 or even a 5.0 for that matter. Otherwise it's all hopes and dreams of a crap driver.

This isn't 2010 or even early 2011 anymore. They caught up my friend.

I don't start races but I get alot of people who want to start one. If I'm first at a light and a Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, WRX, modded Civic, etc. pull up next to me, it's almost a guarantee the driver will do something to get my attention.

I didn't know about the hidden Camaros don't race other Camaros rule?

Like another poster said, a race is car/driver vs car/driver...plain & simple. Actually I always look for other Camaros to go, show them who's king of the hill
