Darn Nice...Correct me if I'm wrong, but #1, stock cars don't jump in the air like that...and #2 to jump like that, you would need some major unibody re-enforcement modifications, right? Or, are these cars strong enough (you just need power)

True they arn't stock cars. By far. But it's showing what American muscle is and can be. It doesn't take much really.
As far as the wheelies go, yeah you don't "need" to stiffen the chassis. But you're crazy if you don't. Typically anyone who does that is going to have subframe connectors and usually a roll bar/cage. Even so, it can easly trash parts.

Then I won't be trying it - not one myself for bodywork if it can be helped.... |

Yeah, for example right underneath my passenger side rear window is a crack in the paint due to body twist.
Darn that torque stuff..... I have subframe connectors though.

I have the Global West subframe connectors. I like them because they can be installed from underneath. No more welding inside the car or causing small fires when installing them.

Oh! So these subframe connectors can be installed, usually, without a major overhaul of the interior/body?
i thought you had to strip the car to bare metal to reinforce the frame... |

No you can buy them for most common cars to be built up. They are a simple as bolting them in or welding them. For the best strength, you can get the bolt in kind, and then weld them. Sitff!
It's not a hard task by any means.

Oh...I see now...
you'll have to excuse the noob attitude I've got toward's this stuff. I haven't been around cars long by any means (10 years isn't long in my book) - but the time I have spent is in the engine department. Past present and Future...I've never even dabbled in frame/body work...so when you say "subframe connectors", I envision under-the-frame bars that re-enforce the body... And I think to get to this "sub-frame" area, you needed to completely rip out the interior first.... You can see why I'd be thinking ".....uh....No?" |

You can see what the subrame connectors look like for the 4th Gen fbody here. You just weld them onto the frame under the car....or bolt them on...or both! |

I'm still amazed everytime I see/hear that viper at around 9:50. Sounds like a steam catapult of an aircraft carrier launching a Tomcat or hornet. It grabs the road and is just gone. The video was very entertaining. Lots of great footage and it's done tastefully too. I just don't like how it skips around, for example shows all the viper promo footage and then skips back to a cobra racing something and then to a corvette and doesn't show a viper for like 45 seconds after that.
