It doesn't affect me much. PCS provides potash for fertalizer, and as long as people still need to eat, they need fertalizer!
Not to mention i'm Canadian, so while our economy is tied to the Americans, our isn't kicked in the nuts as bad.

I just drove a Corvette for my first time last weekend for my birthday, it just increased my desire for a camaro ten fold.

The economy isn't going to keep me from buying my next SS. I've paid off ALL of my debt over here in the land of "milk & honey" so I'll owe nobody when I get home. The trick will be to find a job when I get out of the Army next year, but I have some time to find something... anyone looking for a helicopter pilot?! I also make a mean grilled cheese!!

hopefully the economy will not effect my decision of buying one, but i may wait a little longer until things get better. As I look at the Nikkei index of Japan, its not looking to good. You might be asking how Japans economy effects us, but I am just pointing out that the whole world is faced with this crisis. We can just keep our fingers crossed.

I live in one of the armpits of the country...and it's during times like this that it's an advantage to live here. We've been only minutely effected by this economic crisis...so far. On top of that, I pay my bills, I have good credit, and I don't intend to buy a Camaro (or anything else) that I cannot afford.
In short...no, it hasn't changed anything. I'm getting a Camaro!! |

I'm about two to three months behind with my savings-plan for a down payment :/ And the current economy doesn't really help fix that problem, my company "postponed" the annual raises...

Right now, today, my minds still set on getting my Camaro. But if this is just the tip of the ice berg an things get worse . . . I might hold off for a little bit. We're going on two years without a contract. Locked down my stock as much as I can, but still taking a beating.

Really not trying to stir the pot here but....... There is no 100% risk free when it comes to your money. The market is the way it is right now because of banks and bad lending.(granted thats just part of it). Living in California we have witnessed banks going under, large and small. The FDIC only insures up to a certain amount anything over that and you can be screwed!

The economy is actually having an unintended positive effect for me that might delay me getting a Camaro. With the housing prices falling as much as they have, I'm taking a good long look at moving out of this apartment and getting a house now that they're becoming reasonable. Because of the window of opportunity, I need to save for a good down payment. That's going to cut into my Camaro money. In the long run, it'll be better, but I may not be able to get a Camaro until late in the 2010 MY or until the 2011 MY.
