Sad to see all the mark up. I could only wish for a ton of allocation from day one - and we'll drop ship all over the country! Then maybe they'd rethink the extra mark up!

Caveat Emptor!!!!!

Hopefully there are enough people in this market who will turn their noses on these dealers and let them wallow in their inventory. What is sad is that GM will really need to sell vehicles to keep in business and these folks, are in it for their own short term gain.

I will make damn sure I avoid any dealers who take this kind of tact when this car comse on the market.

I understand their right to sell at whatever price they can get for the car. But take a look at the Dodge Boys and the 750 SRT/8's still left on the dealer lots as reported in many news sources recently.

So I just spoke to someone at Bentley chevrolet in Florence, Al
and he said that he didnt know anything at all about the new camaro, he said that their meetings keep getting pushed back about it (which doesnt make sence because the first IDL was on july 22nd) asked about Msrp and he said "they" may try and mark them up for the first couple of months, but after that there will probably be so many on the lot the wont beable to sell. He also said something about a plant in ohio closing where he said the Camaro was being made closed,(wtf?) so he doesnt know if the camaro is coming out at all....

man i am so disappointed right now. We bought our truck from them, and i really wanted to get my camaro there because it is so close.

FYI, Singh Chevrolet in Riverside, CA carries a markup on *ALL* of their vehicles, unless they are an advertised special. For example (not kidding) -- in fall 07, an 07 model Z06 for $40k over MSRP, which came to $120k and change. When I asked about their markup policy, they told me "well, this just gives us some room to negotiate a price with our customers." They also have extremely poor customer service. I'll be looking elsewhere, to say the least.

I don't know how they could even stay in business with a policy like that, I guess they live off that markup. What do Aveo's start at there . . . $17000?

I'm betting I wouldn't have friends if I said a $5000 mark up....! There was a salesman who posted up mark up on his cars a little before our camaro news last month....He doesn't seem to post up anymore.....?

FRIENDLY CHEVROLET CO. wasnt that the company that was just on cnbc's special saving gm they stated that he was the 4th or 5th biggest dealership for gm so he has enough customers that will probably pay that much for the camaro
