This is impressive! You know, giving a 300hp engine 31 extra hp, and another 5 for a modest underrating These mods give the V6 Camaro a BETTER power to weight ratio than a Mustang GT!!
(And did you notice one of the last posts; even the Caddy guys recognise us!) I look forward to even more serious mods from GMPP...they have access to the LLT's computer code, etc. The V6 is mod friendly, but I hear the computer (due to DI) is a beeyotch to crack..... |

Yeah, its looking like it will be a cake walk getting the v6 to 300hp at the rear wheels.

WOW. obliviously we expected this, well I did. The 6 will kill things on contact.
PIcture this you pull into huge shopping center parkinglot and almost instantly every Mustang inthe lot that have wheels, of hoofs, touching the pavment instantly blows up.

I wonder how much you'd gain by going to an O/R exhaust? The V6 has 4 cats. That's got to be worth something.

I was actually thinking about this... you could even just loose 2 of the cats, and then its possible that it would still be legal... That's gotta free up some power right?

Only problem is, the V6 has 11.3 to 1 compression ratio. I would think that's too high for any type of F.I..

the one thing is i was told that you arent supposed to run anything more them base unleaded in them because using higher octane causes more "heat" in the chamber and can damage the injectors. idk maybe caddy salesmen was talking out his ass, but i did see a sticker that said 87-octane only.

I think you guys are overrating the importance of that CR. You forget, this is DI, not FI. DI can also run on much, much leaner air/fuel ratios than FI, and its because the fuel burns more evenly. Similarly, it has VVT (meaning it can retard or advance the timing up to 90 degrees to get maximum performance with whatever fuel is used). Combine the precise a/f ratio control with vvt, and I have a feeling you'll be able to run a decent amount of boost, on the stock compression ratio, and on pump gas to boot. I may be wrong - but, even if you do put too much boost for the CR, the engine will just retard the timing till it stops sensing pre-ignition. You lose some power, but probably not more than the boost is adding for you.
