different hood..good eye!
As for the C7, looks IS 350ish to me, i think it will look closer to the c6 lights shaped a little more to the lines of the body. I have a pic of sideswipe where the c6 lights would look perfect on it.

Sorry guys, it is the same hood as the Chicago ZL1. It is just a different angle and distance.

I think it is different, because the taper on ZL1 doesn't seem to be there... It almost looks like a Seibon hood or something to me. Regardless - that facia is all ZL1

Actually, the fascia appears to be a little off as well. The black fog light inserts on the ZL1 are pushed out wider than the headlights on the show car. The C&D rendering has the outer edge of the fog light inserts in a different position by at least 3-4 inches.

Kind of agree with you, but my perspective is that the alignment of the upper foglight compared to the headlight. It's probably just a camera angle illusion.

It is...they used a wide-angle lens...take a look at how the rear of the car "disappears" on the Car and Driver cover.

That Vette looks absolutely AMAZING!

So tired of domestic's being out-designed by everyone else. The Vette needs to be pushed closer to the exotic/supercar that it is.

But I guess it should be all watered-down, behind the times and only appeal the same people who would buy a Vette 30-40 years ago. (To each his own, I guess.)

I'm not sure I totally agree with all these comments. I believe, performance-wise, Corvette is easily the equal to most exotics. Now... in terms of what else I consider what a supercar is... it's not quite there; AND THAT'S FINE, to me. Sure - supercars typically aren't cars you could drive everyday because their front carbon fiber splitters drag across railroad tracks and manhole covers; you can't see out of the cabin because the body and active ducts either get in the way or open right in your line of sight; you get less than 15 MPG on the freeway; that DSG gearbox is confounded by parking lots and stop-and-go traffic; you can't leave it in the sun because the exposed carbon fiber body will breakdown in the UV light from the sun; you can't drive it in the rain because it doesn't have windows or a roof., etc. Obviously - I'm speaking in some hyperbole, but Corvette doesn't share these problems. An argument could be made that it doesn't have an exterior that looks like it was designed by a 10-year-old, or look exotic, but it's practical performance you can use every day. But it has technology that works and is effective against cars that are way more expensive. I thought Corvette was more of a supercar for the Average Joe (though ZR1 is stretching the wallet a bit, lol), but was always the car with the bang-for-the-buck. I really hope that doesn't change, because I'd rather it perform better than look like the exotics out there.

JMVHO.
