Called the person who sold me my 2012 2LT and she knew nothing of the ZL1. Ask her boss and he said he would have to find out from district rep on Monday if the had an allocation. Anyhow I left the dealer and they got smart and checked GM Roll out and found out at 12:45 today that they have one allocated. It is mine if I want it. How strange for a dealer to know nothing.

Secured mine this morning, thanks to RUQWIKR. Had to go "out of town" to get it, but not too far. Going to order it on Thursday.

Was unable to get an order in through Quick Connect yesterday, but spoke with the sales manager. They have to order 3. They'll be ordering 1 to my spec: Black, manual, polished aluminum wheels, exposed carbon fiber weave insert, sunroof, microfiber suede wheel/shift boot etc.

When they've ordered it (next Thursday at the earliest), they'll call me in to sign the preliminary paperwork and put down the $1K deposit. I also have a verbal at MSRP agreement.

Nothing against you or your dealer, but you may want to get that verbal agreement in writing. Just to be safe.

what happened to everyone that was gonna get one? was allocation a problem?

I got my allocation and just waiting for my dealer to get there stuff together. I may just wait till 11/3.

Well, the list needs to be updated, I think....but yeah - allocation is TIGHT.

Allocation and markup can probably account for some of this. Some might be waiting for the convertible, some have decided to avoid the hassle and wait for 2013 from what I've gathered. I don't know what you are referencing for numbers - the poll a while back or some other thread.
