I have a good guess, but I don't think it was to discuss the Camaro, because all of your 7 posts so far reside in this thread. I also want to clarify that I am in no way trying to badger you - after all, I might buy some of your products at some point who knows...
You are asking a very appropriate question and one that I am glad to answer. To start, some of you may visit occasionally the LS1GTO.com web forum. You will find that I have been a tremendous supporter of that forum, and the GTO. The support has gone way beyong just Pedders. I have been and am a parts and Service Director for Pontiac for some time. I recently converted to Chevrolet and Cadillac. I am looking to champion a new vehicle. I like Corvettes, but have always been partial to 4 seaters. The Camaro is the perfect vehicle for me to champion.

Being in GM Service management for a very long time, I have been able to help thousands of GM owners resolve issues, and helped them deal thru education, with some GM dealerships that may not be as "progressive" as myself.

I have read a lot of the threads on this forum, and lots of them are speculation. I thought it would be great for all of you to know that there is a very high end suspension system already in place.

I can tell you there are some carryover parts from the GTO that will be on the Camaro and all of the ZETA platform vehicles, that have been problematic. GM will not put a maximum suspension system on any of the Zeta platform vehicles becuase of sensitivity issues. Hope this helps

I also know the Brand Quality Manager for the Camaro personally and he is a great guy. This will help in the future

He's just letting everyone know that aftermarket development is well underway. He's not trying to sell us anything, at least not right now, but the information is relevant. He's just proving that they do have the parts for the Camaro, for when it does come out

I buy it now. I'm sorry I put you through such a rigorous "Dragon-testing". I'm just not usually trusting.
Can you blame me? especially with all of the spammers nowadays. At first glace - you looked to me as a very crafty salesman. As opposed to the ones that go... READ HERE - BUY THIS!!

again, I apologise.

Hey man, I totally understand. My trust on the LS1GTO..com forum was earned and I expect my trust on this forum will be earned as well. This is the way to do it and how it should be.

To start, being in service managemen at a GM dealer, often brings mistrust to many of the performance and enthusist community. For maybe 6 months or so when I started being active on the gto fourm, I did not tell anyone that I was a service manager. Did not want that to be part of me. But after reading so many poeple with dealer interface problems, I stepped up to the plate and started helping to a much greater degree. Having someone who works in teh GM community, should be a great asset and education and support to the future of this forum and to the new Camaro, G8, and the other half dozen ZETA platform vehicles that are coming

Well said. The g/f has made pllans for my sep 15/16 weekend though since I work on sunday. I might still be able to make it though. I'd like to see the dealership at least. Hopefully your dealership will be the first dealer in the bay area with any knowledge what-so-ever on the camaro and ideally be a dealer that will sell for MSRP or below.

All of you ae welcome to come out to to my dealerhsip on Sept 15-16. We are going to have a autocross between vettes and GTOs on Saturday, and a DMS Day on Sunday to check out GTOs and the creative juice that flow in that community, and to inspections and show off the benifits of Pedders suspension. All on this forum are welcome

sorry for bringing this back from the dead.

but have u drivin a cobalt ss supercharged? i have both a 4th gen z28 and stock cobalt ss supercharged. my 4th gen Z28 has modified suspension and handles quiet well. but i can tell you this i can garauntee that my cobalt feels more stable, around every turn then my camaro. I can almost promise you that my cobalt will out handle my camaro and its FWD. Cobalt is a great handling car recording over .9G's in factory form. dont diss the cobalt unless youve drivin one. oh also braking is by far better as well. oh yeah steering on my cobalt is presise, i had to modify the camaro in order to get a good feel of the car. i would be scared changing lanes in my camaro with stock suspension as it felt like it would float away. cobalt has never done that.

how fast were you going in the Z for it to float? because I haven't upgraded my suspension other then a pan hard rod and a tq arm and mine didn't feel like it was floating until around 150.

just free way driving 70-80 mph, and the car felt like it was floating when i was changing lanes. now that i added. belstien re valves B+G 1.4" lowing springs, UMI LCA's, UMI PHR they've made a huge difference. extremely stable on simple lane changes and corning. i can't imagin going 150 on stock suspension, i'd be too afraid. i've taken it to 153 already but thats with my suspension already done.

Wow! I've owned Camaros for 8 years straight now... I'm on my 3rd 4th gen and I'm suprised you'd be scared to take it up to 150mph. I've done it and felt completely comfortable in doing so. Personally, I love the stock suspension that GM put in their 4th Gens. And......you'd also have to look at it from GM's perspective .....not everyone will be doing 150mph in their Camaros...and if they do, will only do it once or twice. Purchasing a very expensive suspension simply for speeds as those is pointless to me.

As far as floating at 70-80mph, what year was your Camaro? Those shocks must have gone bad or something. I've never heard anyone have that problem before. Crisp, quick, and agile....is how I best describe the feel of my SS....all on stock GM components. Pretty good stuff GM put in there! I don't doubt aftermarket will improve it...not at all, but great GM stuff for everyday driving as well as the occassional ROMP!

I'm serious I've had my car up to 150+ more times then I'm going to admit on here (especially with the po po on here). and I didn't feel too much of a float until I hit a section of road that started going up and down pretty quickly. and that was at 150ish slowed down to about 120-130 and it was fine. so yea bad shocks probably.

ss already came with a lil bit better suspension then a standard Z28, i have an 02. its not that i was scared really its i felt the whole body "wobble" side to side during simple lane changes. now its gone so i'm not trippin. I was referencing stock for stock my cobalt and my camaro. my cobalt stock for stock out does my camaro in handling, and ride comfort as well. i still love both cars, 2 entirely different cars and i love both of them.
