Sorry for the dumb questions... if the nitrous will work automatically at wide open throttle, do I still have to hit a switch of some kind to actually inject the nitrous? Is the "shot" a measured amount or as long as the switch is actuated it will be injecting nitrous?

I've never owned a nitrous system and have never even seen a set up in real life so I am counting on answers from you experienced guys to educate me.

No stupid questions.

You will need to arm the nitrous. Usually a switch to power up the system. The the wot switch will spray the nitrous as long as its at wot.

The amount sprayed is controlled by the size of the jets. Which can be quickly changed to alter the amount.

Not sure yet I am having RDP Motor Sports
install the system so I will discuss with them
I want. I will probably go with the most expensive
system just for safety reasons.

RDP is running a 1 year same as cash in case anyone
is interested. I can pay cash no prob but I would rather
work with their money instead of mine.

As a follow up question, does anyone know if nitrous is LEGAL in Ohio?
I had a guy tell me he got pulled over and when the cop seen the nitrous system
He got a ticket just because he had the nitrous system installed and it
was turned on. This doesn't sound right to me, can any one confirm if
this can happen? I am having the system installed by a Ohio company
and they did not say anything about it not being legal.

You can do two things:

1: Disconnect or remove the bottle when you leave the track.

2. Don't get pulled over

There's no reason to drive around with your system armed. That makes no sense. It's not against the law to have the system installed.

Thanks Supercharged.....maybe this is a dumb question but don't you arm/disarm the system from inside your car?? I thought that's how you turned the nitrous system on and off. It's NOT illegal to have your bottle mounted so long as the system isn't ON, or do you need to remove the bottle?

This has been addressed a few times in the past on various forums.

No it is not illegal to have a nitrous system installed;

It would be no different than having propane, or even compressed natural gas installed on your vehicle.

You can have your bottle full, line hooked up, fully opened, with the switch armed without hassle from the authorities. Now say it was used on the streets, thats a different story, and can be used as evidence against you in a street racing citation, but thats the extent of it.. but ofcourse they would have to prove it was used during the said race or exhibition of speed, which is impossible to prove ..or disprove.
