I'm getting a 2LT RS so it works for me. Less insurance and gas to burn and looks great. But I do like that they are building a V8 also.

this is an out of the box question for sure ...
I have to believe that if V8s didn't exist, GM would put a more powerful V6 in the up-level model. Or this would at least be a smaller, lighter car to make better use of a 300hp V6. The LLT is absolutely phenominal, but not enough for a full performance car lineup, imo. |

I'd only buy a 400 hp or more V8 camaro.
I realize the car will be great with the same v6 thats in my CTS yet I dig the hp of the V8 and personally think GM should offer an AWD CTS sport with the L99...or LS3 from my C6. JMO

WAITING!

I have to echo what many people are saying and say no. I bought a v6 camaro in the past, and while way faster than any other car I have owned or driven, I have regretted not getting a v8 the whole time I've owned it.

Yes. Because, realistically, the odds of my ever needing more than 300hp are razor thin.
I just want the SS cause I haven't had a V8 since my first car. And that's been gone since 1993... |

The V6 will out-sell the V8 by 4 to 1 at least. I'd buy it with that 6 in a heartbeat.

Wow. The poll results so far are very interesting...I'd have to bet that if it performed well enough; 50% of the 'no's might still buy one of these hypothetical Camaros.

I was intent on buying V-6 all along. Reasons-less money, slightly softer suspension that shouldn't kill my bad back, and more fuel efficient. And with 300 hp, it is a no brainer for me. But with a good back and more money, I'd want a V-8 too......No doubt it will sound better!

Though I voted yes I would, my plans are to buy the 2SS. Since I have to wait anyway, I may as well get a ride with sum nuts! Till then, I am going to pimp the hell out of this 3.8 V6!
