Within the world of Chevy/Ford/Dodge performance, the straightline stuff always gets more attention. It's been that way for as long as an old guy like me can remember.

All of the questions will be looked at, repeatedly if necessary, to be included in polls. We will consider number of posts, age, and date of last post when deciding what to include in the poll.

Short answer: Yes!

The No-Lift Shift question was asked, and passed along to Al, and the Camaro Team, since it won the poll. We'll keep you updated on a response. In the meantime - don't hesitate to bring up new topics that you'd like to see asked!

Neither do they ... which is why they want to know exactly how it is supposed to work.

I'm just trying to think practically.

Are new questions being recorded from the thread here or is there an official submission thread/process?

Submit questions in the main "Ask Al" subforum: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=309

The official process is make a thread in the main Ask Al section. That is where questions for the polls come from.

Thank you Mr. W and Mods,

I'm not giving up and with some patience should receive some great answers.

Should I re-post my question in next month's Poll for a new vote then?

It's a good question. I wouldn't recommend creating a duplicate post though. I think the mods will just review all the questions in that section and select the top 3-4 that meet the guidelines and have the most interest (based on discussion taking place in each thread).

I know this Ask Al forum is well intentioned and hopefully will be successful, but the format and requirements just seem somewhat unsustainable and will run out of steam quickly...maybe not....but just a suggestion or two...

Each thread should be in the form of a question that is acceptable....vague thread titles, duplicate topics seem to be self-defeating for trying to determine which "thread" is getting to most interest to warrant even making the bi-weekly poll....Each topic shouldn't have to start from scratch to get noticed...If the threads in this topic aren't in question form and accurately convey what the topic is, they should be deleted entirely.

Good luck with this, but it seems monotonous and over redundant already. The time-frame and repetitiveness needed to get answers to fairly straightforward issues is like putting a hundred dollar saddle on a ten dollar horse. Kudos for the intentions, though, and good luck all in all...

Just my random $.02

Create a thread in this section if you want to ask a question to Al and the team. 90503 has some good suggestions to make it easier and more popular.

I agree.. I love this, but this concept seems way to complicated and "trying to be fair".. Make a post, go vote, make sure to re make a post if you didnt "win".. All while remembering to check out the sub forum every week or so..

There's no remaking of a post if it didn't win. The mods will just select from the posts in the main 'ask Al' section and can select one that didn't win as they see fit.

We're open to suggestions and improvements, especially since it's just begun...but I'll be honest - I don't understand the "complicated" argument.

In a nutshell: If you've got a question to ask - ask it in a thread, or pile on a thread that's already asked, to get noticed. Then...vote in the poll, and wait for a response....Rinse, Repeat.

There's no reason to repost a thread that wasn't chosen - it still exists, and is still eligible for the next poll. Just bump it.

90503 had a great suggestion, and I will add it to the guidelines...please phrase your thread title, and OP in the form of a question. It will make it easier to understand and integrate.
