Camaro is dead

I was driving to town and my engine started making a LOUD knocking noise, sounded like a baseball card in a bike tire. I took it straight to Chevrolet, when the service people tried to see what was wrong it wouldn't start. Haven't even had it a year. Anyone else had this problem?

I've heard of maybe one or two other V6 owners here needing to have an engine rebuild or a brand new engine. But thanksfully problems with the engine seem to be pretty rare (fingers crossed!)

Good luck!

I hope you didn't do any mods to void your warranty. It times like these that you are glad that you have one. Sorry to hear that she's out of commission for a little while. I hope you are back on the road with her soon...

Wow that sucks, hopefully it isn't too serious, but doesn't sound good. Good luck getting it up and going again.

I got a brand new engine, everything dealing with clutch was replaced, drive shaft replaced, transmission replaced, passenger fan motor replaced, coolant line replaced...those were mostly separate times at the shop. Total time was 45 days within 6 months of having the car. Did lemon law and GM paid 'me 8k for my troubles plus a month and half of car insurance and payment plus reset my bumper to bumper and power train warranty. Problems started at 16k miles and havnt had any problems since 24k. I'm at 33k now. But also blew all warranty away with my mods the last couple weeks

If this happens now to my car than I might have to dress in all black, pick up my lighter, my gas can, and you know the rest

Hello, is this allstate? uhmm I woke up this morning and my car was on fire. I do have full coverage right?

Just j/k! lol. this is really crazy that this is happening. I remember awhile back reading on this forum that someone found a debrie in the engine and had to have the whole engine replaced. They think somehow it might of went in while at the assembly plant. Is this anyone on here?
