Well they need to make up their minds.....plus I probably wont get one but it would be nice to see a Z/28 reborn again.

It just hit the news stands this week. MT looks like they used the same old drawing last from April, but the story is new. I doubt they'd run the story twice, if it were't a done deal.

Oh...it's made up....one way or the other...they know exactly what they're going to do.

Oh, I don't doubt it at all: it's a good story, and written publications must do all they can today to stay relevant. MotorTrend doesn't sit in design/engineering meetings up in the towers...they just hear from people. So I wouldn't get upset if what they say isn't even 50% true....

It's the new article...considering how very few people knew about the 44 MPG XFE Cruze back when the first article came out.

I find interesting they are trying to stay away from corvette price range. Iam all for this car but heres my take on it. Enjoy the car we have now. Figure around 45k for the z28. Take an SS and put the new whipple kit on and goodbye z28. Whipple > factory supercharger car plain and simple.

Speaking of Motor Trend, I posted this link a couple of days ago on another thread where it has been totally ignored, I'm reposting it as it may have some interest on what can be done with all the pony cars.

"This video (if someone hasn't already posted it) provides some interesting comparisons by Motor Trend, HPE, Shelby, and a Challenger for a "muscle car shootout).

IF that's all you care about....then yes...but the Z/28 represents much, much more than just a supercharger.

Whipple offers a 5 year 100k warranty with their supercharger for the powertrain? Do they offer the heritage of a Z/28 as well?

LOL! I think I'm as doomed as you, because I have two copies - one for at home and one for at work I keep in my desk and see everytime I open the drawer

Sadly - I think that's right; shoot, the TVS is doing that right now! But...

DING DING DING!
And If Z28 comes out the way it seems, it's going to be built pretty good; at least better than the SS, so one should be able to crank the boost up a few more pounds than SSs can, stock, and probably get to 650-700 horse' pretty safely. Grr... Hmm... Where did I put that $60K? lol!!!
