Poll: body colored ground effects package
ok, i really want this ground effects package but i have seen and heard that it only comes in grey. i want to start a poll to see if chevy will hear us out and let us get it in the color matching our car. i ordered a black camaro and i want it black not grey. i love how the black camaro at sema looks and it makes me want this kit even more. so let me know what you think and maybe we can get this going like we got the blue ss going.

For whoever votes no, I would like to know the reasoning behind your thinking. Maybe you know something I don't or are seeing something I'm not. I am curious as to why you think they should all be one color?

Yes, but not at the expense of the GFX package being significantly more expensive. I imagine it isn't going to be cheap to start with, but if it adds several hundred bucks, I'll find a painter to do it for me.

I used to be Dragoneye...

If they put them on and then ran the cars through the painter at the factory...I'd say yes.
But these are aftermarket pieces, right? If so, having all colors available can become stupid expensive quickly. |

i guess im not asking for it to be painted at the factory, or maybe i am, but i just want it to be a different colr. i dont want my black camaro to have grey ground effects but i want the ground effects. i also dont want to have to strip any old paint off. i would rather them just come primered if i cant get them painted to match.

i see the color matching being an issue, from an aftermarket company painting the GFX kits.

I'd much prefer having body color GFX on my Camaro.
Actually, why are they making them a 'dealer installed' option anyway? Why can't they install them at the factory so they can be painted body color? At the very least, offer them unpainted (primered) for less $ so those of us that want them body color can get it done more easily. |
