The Z will be sharp, very sharp. It will handle very well and easily be the better of the two, BUT in the real world.... the difference will probably be so subtle that the only real trouble the Camaro will have is body roll and that extra 450lbs let me ask you something... how would you say your GTO handles?

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Yup. I can't think of a car with a better $/hp ratio than the Camaro. Its not all about the power (we have a poll on the subject around somplace) but its a very good value.

Anyways, the 2010 Camaro - the one this board is all about, will start production March 16th 2009, and should be in dealers shortly thereafter. |

now compared to the 370 the SS is a hell of a pig, now the SRT8 is 4140 lb, know compared to the SS the difference between the to is a mere 280 lb, even thou the chally weighs just below 2 tons, the average Chevy enthusiast does not have room to talk I will admit the chevy is faster (by 2 secs. big woop..) Just my 2 cents

Also, don't forget about gearing guys!
You can quote torque numbers all day but any torque differences can be made up with an agressive rear gear. |

I'm sorry though, you are just as much as a fanboy as I am. I just did some research on the gas guzzler tax, and you are right. No tax. Sorry for the moot point. |

I assume he meant model year, not generation.
