the pedders guys said it has body roll but that is expected for the mainstream ride it is supposed to have.

but then that is coming from a company who wants you to buy a suspension upgrade. but the rear end is similar to the g8 so go drive one and decide if that has a mushy rearend. the camaro's is suppose to be alot stiffer according to al.

From someone that 'supposedly' drove one in Daytona...and as headpunter mentioned...from the pedders post

Thanks for the reply.

I won't think too much into your source...just because I don't know him, you know? But I will say that I wouldn't call it "mushy" based on a suspension-company's thought-process. (no offense, guys). Compared to their products, the ZR1 is probably mushy. Take a peek at some recent magazine reviews of the V6 prototype car. They seemed to enjoy the handling very much!

Just a follow up....

Thanks for the positive comments and ALL of the helpful information that's been posted to date all over the site....it certainly eased the decision making process and made ordering an absolute breeze. I submitted my ordered yesterday...via email (couldn't have been easier) and now I patiently wait.

What did I order? What else is there other than the 2SS? I kid, I kid.

My dealer indicates they were only allocated 6 units...so who knows when I'll get the car. I'm hoping sooner rather than later, but the extra time could certainly allow for a little more development time of the aftermarket parts development.

TO THE GMPP folks....LET'S SEE SOME SUSPENSION FOCUS!!! With some of your other parts...we're going to need help carrying that speed through the corners!!!

(I'll be glad to beta some of your products... )

i used to have the same m3, but i saved up, traded in, and bought my e92. While there are many improvements, that e46 model was what defined the 'M3' performance brand.

sure cant wait to be able to afford my camaro though

??? I'm assuming you'll keep the e92 as well? Otherwise you could sell it and buy 1.75 Camaros!

I was planning on a e92...went and drove one when they came in...I was really impressed by the gentle brutality of the car. However...when I started running the numbers...I was getting dangerously close to p-car or Z06 territory.

I'm in Jax too...I only went to one M3 meet...and it turned into a slug fest on public roads which I was not to inclined to repeat. I will tell you though...I stage 3 AA M3 is one SERIOUS machine. He walked me like I was standing still...and walked a stage 2 pretty badly too.

I still have a 2002 E39 530...probably won't get rid of that car for a while (only has 49k miles)...it's just a good car...if not a little odd. Only option was sport pak...so it's a manual 5 series with no sunroof...I challenge you to find one like it! No woodgrain either...so solid black interior...everything is black except the headliner. It's certainly not fast...but but it's got that connected 'feel' to it.

Of course I'm keeping the e92. It outperforms cars three times it's value, I get looks like I'm driving a lamborghini, I can beat anybody out of a traffic light with launch control, and frankly, few things in life sound better than the roar of that v8 at 7500-8000 rpms

and another interesting thing: according to my dealer (a childhood friend), I got the first e92 with smg on the eastern coast
