Henderson is a finance guy, much like Wagoner. Where he was different from his former boss is his ability to get things done...now. What apparently remains to be seen is if he has Wagoner's ability to get along with Bob and acknowledge that Lutz knows more about product than he does...

Henderson's a finance guy, Lutz is a car guy. Nothing is ever going to get done at GM unless the two start cooperating.

The auto industry must be even weirder than I thought. We tell our vendors what we want and how many. It's their job to come back with bid that includes enough unit profit to cover their setup costs. The contract generally alows them to bill us those cost if we cancel mid project, but we're not paying anything worth talking about until the goods ship.

As to the cop market, an LS or LT1 with the SS powertrain and a bigger alternator would get you most of the way there. Probably have to ditch the console shifter, wish they'd go push buttons + paddels.

i think the grills need to be bigger and more aggressive looking, some harder angles maybe. Needs to channel a bit of the G8 grill (i always thought the G8 grills were a little too big)

The top of the line Commodore with all the Power and Luxury features
is called the HSV Senator. I have always liked the look of this car
Minus the two tone paint though. The Chevrolet badge would look good on this
