double click the traction control button, the competitive mode will show up on the DIC put the car in first and push the clutch down to the floor then push the gas to the floor, RPM's should go to 4200. Drop the clutch and keep the gas to the floor and hang on! LOL

And if you snap an axle they may say the same thing, launch control has proven not to be worth doing. Think about it reving car to 4500 RPM then dumping the clutch. Just asking to break something.

Worst feature the car has, only thing I've ever seen accomplished from someone trying it has been busted; driveshafts, axles, trans output shafts, smoked clutches...

Camaro owners, it's OK to tell the op how to do launch control - no problem there.

The problem is he and the other driver may not be at a track and on public roads.

mycamaroisred: if you just have to smoke his @ss, then watch this video first to get the best traction and whoop his @ss with dust.

How come the put the launch control in the car if every1 says it's bad and will screw shot up I don't understand cuz I've dumped my clutch about 4000 b4 and no problem at all it just smoked the tires.. I still wanna see how it works.. And say if I do try it will the dealer know that's war I did and will it end up voiding the warentee.. It seems like it's a good perk for the car except for hearing about things breaking and snaping ya no

If something breaks while you are doing Launch Control....

Don't tell the dealer you were using it when your tranny , axle or what ever breaks.
