Drivers Door not opening from inside or outside?
Hey guys, I'm in need of some quick help. I took my driver's door handle off to wrap it and I was able to get back into the car and everything fine afterwards. I went to the store and was not able to open my door from inside or outside now. The outside handle opens fully, while the inside doesnt. I'm not sure how to open the door because now my radio won't turn off or anything. Windows and locks still work. I dont want to run to a dealer because I dont have the funds currently so I would like to see if I could open it myself.

Sounds like there is a mis-alignment somewhere. Just take it back off and do it again. May have to pull the door panel, which is never fun on any car.

You mentioned the radio not turning off? Normally, when you shut off the ignition, the radio states on due to the Retained Accessory Power until you open the door. The door sensor is part of the door latch. You were doing something with the door handle.
Putting two and two together, something is not right with the latch and/or sensor wiring. Did you unplug any connectors when you were taking stuff apart? Did you disconnect the battery before pulling connectors? |

Try http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116016 I had the same issue when I removed the driver side. The drivers side has a pin that you need to adjust when putting the handle back in.
Instead of using wire like the guy did in the thread to pull the pin out use dental floss easier to remove the dental floss then wire. |

could it be that when you put it in gear the doors all locked? and since the handle is missing, might not send a signal to unlock once youre out of gear?

I looked in the shop manual. So many ways to **** up the door latch system!
What did you take apart? Did you take the interior trim panel off? |

Re-read his first post in this thread. He took off the outer door handle.

Somehow, the door sensor has been affected, and the BCM doesn't know what position the door is in. |
