the judge is a novelty gun

it is large, heavy, high recoil, follow up shoots are harder

my preferred defensive guns are compact sized 9mm's

g19
g26
m&p shield or c 9mm's
etc

if you like 40's all of the above choices also come in 40's but the glocks with different names
g23
g27

I concur with the G19 and G27. Glock makes very good handguns!

My suggestion was based on the idea that the OP wanted to protect himself while IN the car. If we're talking about running to the car to grab your weapon and go fight that's completely different. Also probably stupid.

I may have misunderstood too. He just says, "to keep in the Camaro". Id rather have one on me then left in the car if that's what he's talking about.

However, I would not keep it in the car. If you have a carry permit, carry it on you. otherwise it ends up being a consealed weapon and can get you in trouble, and I've had a few freinds have there guns stolen out of their cars. It's a pain in the butt meeting the requirements for having a weapon in your car.

AS an example: I lived in Boulder City, NV. It's a small town near Las Vegas. I would goto the gun range in Vegas. It your in Vegas, you can have the gun assemble and loaded as long as it's not hidden. I had to drive through Henderson, NV. In Henderson, the weapon can be assemble as long as it's in the open, but the ammo must be stored in a seperate location (i.e the trunk). In Boulder Ctiy, the gun must be at least partially disassembled (i.e. The barrel removed). Thats 3 different laws and the drive from my house to the range was only 15 minutes.
Real nice write up perfect response to the post and that's crazy how the law switches that quickly wow

i own a gunshop, do competition shooting and training, i dont recommend the judge for anything other than novelty. if it was that great of a gun then dont you think you would see it used by police, military, etc. like glocks, m&p, h&k, sigs etc?

Then you've obviously missed the point of having a gun for self defense. "bad ass" guns are something you play with at the range, not stake your life on.

The judge is a joke. It's something you buy just to chuckle at with your friends and shoot once in a while. No way should it be carried for self defense.

Seems like alternating .45 long colts and .410 buckshot in the chamber would be more than enough peace of mind for self defense. in a nice carry size package non the less....

Yeah, my bad. I just looked it up. I was thinking of the RAGING judge. Seen here:

I thought he wanted to use that unwieldy thing for self defense. Didn't realize there was a smaller one.
