seatbelt unbuckled alert

one of my roommates drive around a honda fit and one of its "features" is if it detects weight (any amount) in either of the front seat and the seat belt isnt buckled it makes noise pretty much continuously until either you turn the car off or the seat belt is buckled. This becomes particularly annoying when the seat is holding a bunch of groceries or whatever. Does anyone know if the camaro is going to have this "feature"

So you wear your seatbelt or buckle it before you sit down and it goes behind your back. Not the smartest thing to do but it is your choice.

That's un-American.
I have the right to put my head through the windshield if I so choose.

You should always keep your groceries safe...until you eat them!

What is the big deal with putting a seat belt on? Jeez like it take so much extra effort.

I have close friends who believe this to be true. I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but I thought it funny that you said that.

I personally don't mind. If those mandates help justify lowering my insurance...power to them.

Oh I feel your pain brother. I drove around in a Subaru that did the same thing. Sometimes I just want to sit in the car and wait for the girlfriend in the parking lot or take the seat belt off to deposit some checks. Insanity ensues. Persistent nonstop ding, ding, ding.

The camaro is so hot looking I may be willing to deal with it but just barely.

THIS is what im talking about. I put my seatbelt on EVERYTIME im in a car that is in motion, im talking about when there either isnt someone in the seat or the car is just sitting idling.

this isnt about MY SEATBELT its about dumb sensors that cant be turned off that dont care if the car is idling, if its groceries, dog, heavy weight in the seat. it will ding if it senses anything.

Well I'm sure that someone will figure out how to disable them....wait till you get the car and then worry about it....geez.
