What's your average fuel economy?

I just checked my average fuel economy and it says 13 mpg. Also is it true that as you break in the car it will get better fuel economy?

18.3 MPG (L99) lead foot on numerous occasions

Yes - as the car breaks it the gas mileage does improve.

I got back from a trip to L.V. right now and did do mostly hwy driving 90%/10% but it was 328 mi and the DIC was at 25.9 mpg but i filled it up and i only got 12.2 gl in to the top.
So that is 328/12.2 = 26.24 mpg, and that was at 5-15 mi over the limit so in AZ at 85-90 mi an hr, In Cal 80-85 mi an hr, And in NV same as cal.
My cay has now got 3000 mi on it and is an LS3.

I drove about 700 miles today at 75 mph and DIC says 23 mpg. Rocky Mountain driving. I'm not dissapointed at all.2SS Manual

For the people saying 12 or 14 mph, I suggest reset your DIC, drive for a distance and see what you get. Maybe keep your foot out of it.

it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

Those of you with the mph in the 14 - 16 range, "Have you reset your Avg mpg?"

In another thread, by resetting the mpg until it beeps, you get instantaneous (spelling) mpg.
This will soon average out and give you a true reading. If you haven't reset, your just adding your average to already stored mileage. Which will lower your overall average mileage.

Mine was reading in the 14-16 mpg range. I reset it and it jumped up to 26+ mpg.
In short, Reset your DIC gauges to get your true ave mpg, do it with each tank full.
